I WANT MY ARRRRTTTTT!!!! =/

I had it in my grasp too! Slowly, I was slinking away to the art room door, my portfolio in tote and JUST as I touch the handle:

"Umm...excuse me? Get your little butt back here."
Mrs. B just had that "gotttcchaa!" grin and everything. I seriously considered beating her with the flowers I gave her yesterday.

Oh and when I did get to look through my art, the judge that actually placed our art work [she is a professor from a college around here and is extremely well educated in art], well.....she LET COMMENTS on post its on the BACK OF MY ART telling me how great I did and how she enjoyed my ability to draw.

Two post its that I saw [I didn't get to look at all of them..the bell rung when I was starting to actually get into my portfolio where the show case pieces where]:

"The colors are blended really well and the white blouse on the woman attracts your eyes to the figure. Well done."
[She said that about the winning piece]

"The eyes in this one are set apart just right and the glasses are well drawn."
[About a rough sketch I did for art]

The feeling you get when people compliment something you worked so hard on and the pride that just swells in you...it's amazing. I don't know about some of you guys here; but I get emotionally attached to my art. I create story lines and everything when I am drawing. All my art has a story, a past, and maybe even a future. They are like my children and the enjoyment I get from creating them...it makes me feel like I done something amazing when I get to see the people looking at my work have that same enjoyment and wonder in their eyes.
